Calm yoga music without lyrics

Taranify’s yoga mode is a spacious ambient mix with long chords, soft notes and no drum beat. It is a little brighter than Sleep mode, with a tempo that settles around 62 BPM.

The pads slowly swell and fade about six times a minute. Let that movement sit in the background as you practise; you do not need to match your breathing or your movements to it.

For the mat and the moments around it

Gentle yoga

An instrumental backdrop for slow sequences, floor work and time spent holding a pose.

Music for stretching

With no driving beat to follow, you can take each stretch at your own pace.

Cooling down

Soft chords for the transition from a busy workout to a quieter moment.

Rest after practice

Want an even softer sound? Sleep music has darker pads and fewer melodic notes.

Set the sound around your practice

  • Leave room for your surroundings. Keep the music low enough to hear your instructor if you are following a class.
  • Move at your own pace. The slow swells are part of the sound, not instructions to hold or control your breath.
  • Let it continue. New tracks blend in automatically, so you can finish your practice without choosing the next song.
A FEW MORE DETAILS

About yoga music

Before you settle in, here’s what to know.

Does this yoga music have lyrics or drums?

No. Yoga mode is fully instrumental and drum-free. It uses long ambient chords and soft melodic notes.

Can I use it as music for stretching?

Yes. The same ambient mode works as a backdrop for stretching, gentle yoga, mobility work and cool-downs.

Why does the sound rise and fall?

The pads have a slow swell, repeating about six times a minute. This gives the music a flowing character. There is no need to synchronize your breathing to it.

How is yoga music different from sleep music?

Yoga mode is a little brighter, has more melodic activity and includes slow pad swells. Sleep mode is darker and more sparse. Neither has drums.

Is this yoga music free?

Yes. Taranify generates the music in your browser for free. You do not need an account, a subscription or a music streaming service.
